TSL were involved at a very early stage of this project and interacted with the main contractor, client & architect at various stages of the project to assist in multiple areas of the build. During the budget stages of this project different material options were proposed to give the best value product and finish whilst maintaining the heritage constraints of the specification. An important design detail advised and developed by ourselves and the main contractor was key in moving this project forward.
With such a large upstand around the perimeter edge of the roof, the interface between the ridge of the pitched roof and upstand had to remain aesthetically suitable; whilst performing to good roofing practices. A bespoke detail was developed and applied which appeased both the contractor ourselves and most importantly the client. The specialist lead dormers and ridges were adapted and completed in line with standard LSA detailing, complimenting the surrounding residential buildings respectable details. To achieve the thermal performance required we installed insulation between all the rafters in the roof spaces ensuring the internal works were not impeded or interfered with.
After our contracted time on site had finished, it was later requested we re-attend to undertake another contractors work. We proceeded to supply and install bespoke metal gutters along the eaves of the pitched roofs. This was a further compliment to the existing secret gutters we had installed and lined with single ply membrane.
