Senior Design Manager – Josh Preston
Josh joins as a highly experienced design manager and we couldn’t be more excited to have him! His values clearly aligned with those TSL hold dear and he’s made such a fantastic addition to our incredible team.
“I’m an experienced Design Manager within the Façade Sector. Having spent my whole career in Facades I aim to bring my extensive experience and knowledge of building envelopes to the team. I’m excited to join a dynamic design team, with an exciting portfolio of projects focusing on delivering technical excellence and providing our clients with the TSL experience.”
Previously Josh worked as a trainee façade designer at Astec projects, which he did from school. Afterwards he worked at Lakesmere where we he finished his degree in arch tech, then to delineate for 7 years. Recently he moved to Lawtech conducting fire remediation work which also led to the offer from TSL.
When asked ‘why TSL?’ Josh commented:
“To be honest I wasn’t sure at the beginning as I recently started at Lawtech but after I met with Dexter and Connor and heard them out with Dan Jarnak giving me insight, I thought I wanted to be apart of it. The values aligned with my own.
From the short time we’ve been working with Josh, it’s clear his values certainly align with ours, we asked how it’s been so far he confidently stated “really positive and everyone is friendly.”
What do you enjoy most about your job?
“I enjoy starting a new project and co-ordinating the design from start to finish. I get fully involved with the complex façade detailing and any problem solving that may be required with the variety projects we have.”
Outside of work you can find Josh brushing up on his golf skills, spending time with family or in the gym.
