We are very proud to announce our official support for the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity, which provides emotional, physical and financial wellbeing support to the construction community and their families.
With high profile stress and suicide levels in construction it is vital that we continue to seek ways to provide pro-active support and resources for our friends and colleagues, and this partnership reflects our commitment to do so.
For those who are struggling the Lighthouse charity provides a free and confidential 24/7 Construction Industry Helpline over the phone, via text and live web chat service which provides a range of information, guidance and support on a huge variety of wellbeing issues. These services are complemented by their free Self Support App which offers another route to support, along with their Lighthouse Beacons support group network which provide a safe space for people to share concerns.
Internally, we will be using the Lighthouse Charity’s Wellbeing Academy to gain skills and leadership training to support our workforce. Delivered across a variety of platforms to suit every learning style from self paced e-learning, tutor led online masterclasses and seminars, through to bespoke onsite training, this will provide us with training on mental health first aid, wellbeing, neurodiversity, and suicide awareness amongst many other topics, so that we are equipped with the practical tools to support our team.
